Bassam al-Sabbagh has been appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Odissey Bigvava, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory address to his Syrian colleague on this occasion.
