September 9, 2020 marks the 12th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.

This day is of great historical importance for both countries. It marked the desire of the two peoples to develop and strengthen full-fledged cooperation, laid the foundation for the strategic partnership between Abkhazia and Russia.

Our states systematically implement the basic principles of interstate and interdepartmental treaties and agreements, and an active political dialogue is underway.

Over the years, a whole range of joint projects in the economy, humanitarian and other spheres have been implemented.

We are convinced that fruitful cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation will continue developing actively, including new areas of interaction.
