The 25-th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations and the signing of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic celebrates on January 22, 2018.
This historic step gave a new quality and substance to the relations between our fraternal countries and has created a solid base for the all-round development of interstate cooperation connected by the ties of mutual respect and trust.
The multi-level cooperation based on the long-standing traditions of friendship has fruitfully developed over the past period. It unites our peoples which has reached the highest level of partnership. Today, our states demonstrate a tendency to give a pragmatic content to the political dialogue, deepen coordinated steps and expand contacts in all areas of mutual interest.
Today's challenges unite Abkhazia and the PMR even more closely in matters of protecting independence and preserving sovereignty. The corresponding position on the part of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is appreciated in Abkhazia and in their turn are ready to increase mutual support by intensifying joint efforts in the international arena.
The positive dynamics of interstate relations is an important element of expanding cooperation and inspires confidence in the prospects for further development of constructive dialogue for the benefit of our countries.
We are convinced that by acting together we will ensure the further build-up of the entire complex of relations in resolving pressing issues on the contemporary agenda which undoubtedly meets the fundamental interests of our peoples and serves the goals of ensuring universal peace and stability.
