Kan Taniya, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Abkhazia held the meeting with the members of the CYD of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, participants of the XIX-st World Youth and Students Festival that was held since October 14 to 22, 2017 in Sochi: Inar Ladaria, Victoria Malania, Temur Rekvava, Milana Abshilava, Astamur Bagatelia , Said Kwadzba and Madina Shamba.
Opening the meeting, Kan Taniya noted: "The format of the Council of Young Diplomats is a necessary and promising platform for young employees of the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry as well as for future diplomats. Participation in such international events is a chance to represent the Republic of Abkhazia at a broad international level, to establish new friendly contacts which in the future may be needed in professional activity as a diplomat, "he said.
The members of the CYD at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia told to the Deputy Minister about participation in the First Global Forum of the Council of Young Diplomats which took place on the fields of the WFYS since October 14 to October 20.
The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister. The meeting was held with Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the second day of the Global Forum of Young Diplomats
The result of the work of the I-st Global Forum of the Council of Young Diplomats was the adoption of the final document-recommendations of the forum participants. Among the main points is the support of the initiative to establish the International Association of Young Diplomats and the establishment of meetings within the framework of the Global Forum of Young Diplomats on a regular basis. The document of the Global Forum on the establishment of the International Association of Young Diplomats was supported by more than 60 states.
The young employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia who participated in the First Global Forum noted the high level of the organization of the event as well as the experience gained from the participation in the Forum. Participants of the WFYS, the members of the CYD of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia expressed gratitude to the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the invitation to take part in the First Global Forum of Young Diplomats.

The agreement on cooperation between the Council of Young Diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation was signed in 2015.
