29 years have passed since the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The Abkhazian diplomacy has passed a difficult way of formation.

Vladislav Grigorievich Ardzinba, the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia signed the Decree about establishment of the Ministry on May 17, 1993 during the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia. The diplomatic school of the republic was being formed in conditions of war and a difficult period for the whole country.
Over these years, the staff of the Ministry has become a professional team, which consistently defends and protects interests of the state and implements its foreign policy course.

Our foreign political service is strong by the continuity of generations and its traditions.

 Our main task is to protect and defend the interests of our state. I am sure that with joint efforts we will be able to achieve important results for the country.
