On February 24, the first meeting of the new commission on delimitation of the state border and delimitation of maritime spaces between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

Daur Kove, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia was appointed as Chairman of the Commission. The Commission consists of representatives of different ministries and departments of the republic.

During the meeting, the questions concerning the preparation of the corresponding documentation on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation were discussed.

By the order of Aslan Bzhania, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia of February 22, 2021 the new commission on delimitation of the state border and delimitation of the sea areas between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation was approved chaired by Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
