The meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Odyssey Bigvava with representatives of the Union of Search Teams of the Russian Federation was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia. 

The meeting was also attended by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Abkhazia in Nizhny Novgorod Vladimir Litvinchuk. The main topic of the meeting was the harmonization of the activities of the SPO RF to perpetuate the memory of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia. 

In agreement with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Rossotrudnichestvo are planning events to perpetuate the memory of Soviet soldiers who died on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia. 

Earlier, representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, together with the Union of Search Teams of the Russian Federation, searched for the remains of WWII soldiers in the village of Dubasekovo in the Volokolamsk urban district of the Moscow region of Russia.  

The main goal of the SPO is the search and burial with all honors of the found remains of the soldiers of the Second World War, thus restoring the fate and names of the missing soldiers.
