Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met with Igor Kagramanyan, the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation at the Ministry of Health of Russia on July 20,2020.

The issues of countering the spread of a new coronavirus infection were discussed, including the readiness of medical institutions in Abkhazia to provide of the medical care to patients with COVID-19.

The parties agreed to send a group of specialists from the representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Rospotrebnadzor of the RF and the Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Territory in order to exchange of practical experience, carry out measures for the diagnosis, prevention as well as treatment of the new coronavirus infection Covid19.
