About the meeting of Daur Kove with Daniel Ortega, the President of Nicaragua

On July 20, 2019 the meeting between Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Daniel Ortega, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua was held in Managua as part of the celebrations devoted to the 40th anniversary of the Sandinista revolution.

The Foreign Minister of Abkhazia thanked Daniel Ortega for the warm welcome and conveyed a welcoming address and congratulations on the 40th anniversary of the Sandinista revolution from Raul Khadzhimba, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Daniel Ortega noted the importance of relations established between the Republic of Nicaragua and the Republic of Abkhazia and expressed confidence in further building up of full-format bilateral cooperation.

The President of the Republic of Nicaragua also expressed his support for the head of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba during the upcoming presidential elections.

In turn, Daur Kove invited the delegation of the Republic of Nicaragua to Abkhazia as international observers for the presidential elections of the republic, scheduled for August 25, 2019.

During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on the main areas of bilateral cooperation, discussed various ways to enhance and develop further cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister also conveyed an invitation to Daniel Ortega to visit the Republic of Abkhazia with an official visit at any time convenient for him.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged by memorable gifts.
