On February 11 within the framework of the working visit, Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia had a meetimg with Mikhail Galperin, the Commissioner of the Russian Federation at the European Court of Human Rights, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation in Moscow in the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

A wide range of issues was discussed at the meeting. Particular attention was paid to the decision of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) of January 21 this year, on the case "Georgia v. Russia (II).

During the conversation, mutual interest was expressed in the joint work of Abkhaz and Russian specialists in preparing of materials aimed at defending the interests of the Republic of Abkhazia in the ECHR. A number of proposals for stepping up work in this area were made.

At the end of the meeting, a consolidated opinion was voiced on the need of intensification, imparting of a new impetus and qualitative strengthening of interagency cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of Abkhazia and Russia
