On June 10, 2026, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Turkey Ibrahim Avidzba and President of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey Yauz Atryshba attended a gala reception at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkey to mark Russia Day, celebrated on June 12.
At the invitation of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Nicaragua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua, Alias Ayba, and First Secretary of the Embassy, Gabriella Gabuniia, attended a gala reception dedicated to Russia Day.
On June 9, 2026, a meeting was held in Ankara between the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Turkey, Ibrahim Avidzba, the President of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey, Yauz Atryshba, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Turkey, Sergey Vershinin.
On May 30–31, a major international conference, "The End of 500 Years of Colonialism: Toward a Dialogue of Civilizations" is taking place in Berlin. The conference is dedicated to discussing the formation of a new international security and development architecture, strengthening equitable dialogue among civilizations, and the role of countries in the emerging world order.
On May 22, 2018, Ibrahim Avidzba, Plenipotentiary Representative of Abkhazia to Turkey met with the mothers of soldiers who fell in the 1992-1993 Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia and female veterans visiting Turkey as part of the Abkhaz delegation at the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Turkey. The meeting was also attended by members of the delegation: Bastakua Agrba and Astamur Bagatelia, Deputy Chairmen of the State Committee of the Republic of Abkhazia for Repatriation; Tengiz Ankvab, Deputy Director of the Repatriation Fund; Irina Lasuria, Chief Specialist of the General Department; and Narsou Salakaya, Member of the People's Assembly-Parliament.
