August 7, 2024 Vice President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Gunba introduced the new Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Shamba to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

On August 6, 2024, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniia signed a Decree appointing Sergey Mironovich Shamba as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
