The delegation of the Republic of Abkhazia, headed by the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Abkhazia Alkhas Kvitsinia, arrived in Damascus on the evening of October 4.
The delegation also included the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Abkhazia Z.F. Kajaya, Deputy of the People's Assembly - Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia O.K. Jinjolia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia D.V. Kove, State Secretary, Deputy Defense Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Piliya N.I., Head of the Department of the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Alshundba I.Z., President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia T.V. Mertskhulava, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia A.G. Gagulia, Chairman of the Council of the KB "Amra-Bank" Chalmaz M.R.
The visit of the delegation is timed to the grand opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia, scheduled for October 6. During the visit, a number of bilateral meetings with the leadership and the Government of Syria are planned.
