The meeting of Bagrat Khutaba, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic with Hussein Arnous, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Syria took place in the building of the Syrian Council of Ministers on November 23, 2020 in Damascus.

The issues of cooperation in the field of trade and economic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Syrian Arab Republic were discussed during the meeting. In particular, an exchange of views took place on the possibility of implementing of joint Abkhaz-Syrian investment projects.

It is necessary to strive to deepen of cooperation between the two countries in all areas, in particular within the framework of the Joint Abkhaz-Syrian Committee on Economic, Trade, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, work on the Syrian part of which is in the final stages according to the head of the Syrian Government, even despite the difficult epidemiological situation in the world.
