In the Republic of Nicaragua, on behalf of the Embassy of Abkhazia in Nicaragua, a diplomatic reception was given in honor of the 14th anniversary of the recognition of the state sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Republic of Nicaragua.

The reception was attended by Denis Moncada, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, members of the government, deputies of the National Assembly, the leadership of the Supreme Court, Reina Rueda, Mayor of Managua, Nicaraguan public figures, cultural figures, ambassadors of a number of foreign states and representatives of embassies accredited in Nicaragua.

At the beginning of the solemn part of the evening, the national anthems of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua were played.

At the opening of the diplomatic reception, Inar Ladaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua and Denis Moncada, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua delivered a speech.

Inar Ladaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary read out the appeal of Aslan Bzhaniya, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia to Daniel Ortega, the President of Nicaragua on the recognition of the state sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Republic of Nicaragua.

In his speech, the Ambassador noted that "September 3 is an important date in the history of Abkhazia, which marked the beginning of relations between Abkhazia and Nicaragua."
Inar Ladaria emphasized the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states and noted the existing potential for further strengthening the bilateral Abkhaz-Nicaraguan cooperation.

Denis Moncada, Nicaraguan Foreign Minister, congratulating on the holiday, conveyed greetings from Daniel Ortega, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua and Rosario Murillo, Vice President and expressed hope for further interstate cooperation in various fields of activity. Denis Moncada wished well-being to the people of Abkhazia.

At the diplomatic reception, the guests were presented with a photo exhibition about Abkhazia, videos describing the nature of the Republic were shown, and a short film by the Abkhaz director Amina Kvarchia "Asys", based on the Abkhaz literary classic Alexei Gogua, was shown.
