Taking into account the changing geopolitical and economic realities, the intensification of the illegitimate sanctions policy of the West, the interest and opportunities for international investment in the economy of the Republic of Abkhazia, especially in the field of tourism and agriculture, are growing. In order to improve the investment and tourism image of the Republic of Abkhazia, stimulate foreign investment, a regularly operating mobile discussion platform is being created in the regions of the Russian Federation - the "Abkhaz Investment Forum". The forum will be held in the regions of the Russian Federation, where there is a high potential for cooperation in the trade, economic and investment spheres with the Republic of Abkhazia. Within the framework of each forum, a presentation of high-quality multimedia content about Abkhazia is expected for interested representatives of the business community.

On April 2, 2022, the first Abkhaz Investment Forum will be held at the Hyatt Regency Sochi Hotel, Sochi, Russian Federation. The forum is held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia. Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia, the State Investment Agency under the Ministry of Economy of Abkhazia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, entrepreneurs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation will take part in the Forum. During the event, the investment, economic and transit potential of the Republic of Abkhazia will be presented.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia is negotiating of the holding of the "Abkhaz Investment Forum" with the leadership of the Moscow, Tula and Rostov regions, St. Petersburg, and other subjects of Russia.

In each region, following the results of the Abkhaz Investment Forum, a working group will be created, the task of which is to attract investors to the Republic.
