The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia in his address stressed that August 26 marks the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the state sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Russian Federation.

"Due to the upcoming anniversary, my colleagues and I will hold meetings in the regions of the Republic of Abkhazia with our fellow citizens, representatives of regional administrations and assemblies, and youth.

The main purpose is to inform our compatriots about the current results of the work of the MFA of Abkhazia, about the current international situation around our country, aspects of the Abkhazian-Russian relations, the current state of the rapidly changing security architecture in the South Caucasus region, as well as about the growing geopolitical and economic ambitions of Georgia" said Ardzinba.

The Minister also said that during the meetings, a special attention will be paid to the discussion of mechanisms capable of ensuring a new quality of relations between Abkhazia and Russia.
