The regular consultations were held in Moscow within the framework of the mechanism for foreign policy coordination established by the Memorandum between the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Foreign Ministry on March 11, 2015.

Igor Akhba, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation and Alexei Pavlovski, the Director of the Fourth CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry took part in the consultations.

The topical issues of the Abkhaz-Russian relations including the terms of improving the legal framework of bilateral cooperation were discussed during the consultations.

An exchange of views took place on the issues of foreign policy interaction and expansion of the international positions of Abkhazia.
