On April 24, Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, met with the UN Permanent Coordinator, UNDP Permanent Representative Louise Vinton and Peace and Oleg Protsik, Development Adviser in the South Caucasus.
The meeting was also attended by Irakli Tuzhba, the Deputy Foreign Minister and Arthur Gagulia, the Head of the Department for Relations with International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.
During the meeting, a summary report was presented on the results of the work of international non-governmental organizations and UN agencies in 2018, and current projects implemented by the UN in Abkhazia were discussed. The importance of close coordination of projects was stressed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
During the exchange of views on regional environmental issues, the focus was on the implementation of projects related to river cleaning and recycling.
