On September 2, 2024, at the invitation of the Government of Nicaragua, Inar Ladaria, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua and Alias Aiba the Counselor- Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia attended a ceremonial event dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of Nicaragua.

On September 3, 2024, Sergey Shamba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia held a briefing for journalists at the Information Center of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia. 

At the invitation of Shahid Akhtar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhammad Ali, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic took part as an official guest of honor in the opening of ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the city of Homs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Shamba sent a congratulatory note to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres on this occasion.

September 3 we mark 16 years since the recognition of the independence and state sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Republic of Nicaragua.

The sovereignty of Abkhazia has been recognized by five UN member states, as well as several republics with partially recognized or unrecognized status. Is the republic working on this issue with other members of the international community? Are there any contacts between the republic and the UN?
