SUKHUM, August 16. /TASS/. The meeting of the Presidents of Russia and the United States Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Alaska gives hope for progress in relations between the countries. This opinion was expressed to TASS by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits, commenting on the meeting.

August 12, 2025. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, took part in a gala event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Iran. The leadership and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia took part in the flowers laying ceremony at the Memorial to those killed in the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia 1992-1993 in the Park of Glory in Sukhum.
