Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia Mikhail Shurgalin congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba and the staff of the Ministry on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, sent a congratulatory address to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Vitaly Ignatiev, on the occasion of the Republic Day.

August 26 marked the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia as a sovereign and independent state by the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree was signed on August 26, 2008 by the President of the Russian Federation D.A. Medvedev.

On August 23, 2023, a concert dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the State sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Russian Federation was held at the State Philharmonic. 

On August 24, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Iraklii Tuzhba held a working meeting with members of the public involved in organizing events dedicated to the International Day of the Disappeared.

Today, the international security system is in a state of considerable tension. We note a significant aggravation of the situation between the Russian Federation and the collective West. We consider many statements made in the media as the result of an intensifying geopolitical struggle.
