The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic on Independence Day.

On April 11, 2022, Bagrat Khutab, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic, met with Dr. Faisal Mikdad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the SAR.

The people of the Republic of Abkhazia are united in their desire to contribute to the strengthening of the independent Abkhazian state, to protect and promote its sovereign interests in the international arena. The foreign policy course of our state should serve as a stimulus for the unification of our people.

On April 8, the Media Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia hosted a working meeting between Inal Ardzinba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs with representatives of UN agencies and international non-governmental organizations working in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Inal Ardzinba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to Dmitry Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the celebration of the Constitution Day of the Republic of South Ossetia.

Barzania Alkhas Khersonovich, who served as Deputy Trade Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation, was appointed as Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation and Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia for international cooperation in the field of information security.

On April 2, 2022, the first Abkhaz Investment Forum was held in Sochi with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Taking into account the changing geopolitical and economic realities, the intensification of the illegitimate sanctions policy of the West, the interest and opportunities for international investment in the economy of the Republic of Abkhazia, especially in the field of tourism and agriculture, are growing. 

On March 29, the opening of the multifunctional Media Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia took place.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia accepts documents from citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia, graduates of secondary general schools, to participate in the competitive selection for admission to the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
