The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nauru on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The note reads, in particular:

"We note with satisfaction that in a relatively short period of time strong bonds of friendship based on a deep sense of mutual respect and trust have formed between the two countries. Steady cooperation and community of positions on issues of bilateral cooperation and key aspects of the world order is observed since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 15 December 2009 between the two countries.

The agenda of our interstate communication expands. We welcome the steady development of our political dialogue and regular inter-governmental, inter-parliamentary and interagency contacts.

We are convinced that the signed 29 September 2016 Interstate Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nauru will contribute to further strengthening of bilateral cooperation and the development of multifaceted cooperation between our countries and peoples."
