The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nauru.
The note reads, in particular:
"This day is an important date in the history of Nauru. It marks the beginning of a new era in the development of the state. The people of Abkhazia, who are familiar with all of the tests on the way to achieving independence, sincerely share with you the joy of this national holiday.
In a relatively short period of time between the two countries have formed strong bonds of friendship based on a deep sense of mutual respect and trust. The Republic of Abkhazia is interested in further deepening of political dialogue and the development of full-scale cooperation between our countries. We are deeply convinced that there is the needed capacity for this.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia renews the assurances of its highest consideration to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nauru and wishes peace, welfare and prosperity to the people of Nauru."
