We drew attention to the next Resolution of the UN General Assembly - “The situation of internally displaced persons and refugees from Abkhazia and South Ossetia”, adopted on June 4, 2024, which recognizes the right of all internally displaced persons and refugees to return home.

On June 4, 2024, an online conference of the Association of Universities of the Newly Independent States was held. Alexander Vataman, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took part in the opening of the conference.

On May 29, in Istanbul, with the participation of the ICRC, a meeting of the Coordination Mechanism for the search for persons missing during the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia of 1992-1993 was held.

On May 22 the acting Minister, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Irakli Tuzhba received representatives of the ICRC Mission in the Republic of Abkhazia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the tragic death of Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign and those accompanying them.
