On April 10, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia was held a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Kan Tania with the head of the "Action Against Hunger" (ACH) office in Abkhazia, Ervin Blau, coordinator of the ACH projects Ricardo Montanari and Professor of Turin University Luciana Tavella. The head of the Department for Interaction with International Organizations Artur Gaguliya also attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting Ervin Blau introduced Kan Tania to the consultant of the ACF on the fight against the marmorate bug, the professor of Turin University Luciana Tavella. Ms. Tavella arrived in Abkhazia to monitor the situation and assess the magnitude of the problem of pest control.

Professor Tavella proposed various ways to combat the marmorate bug, which will be discussed on April 11 during a round table on the fight against the marmorate bug in Abkhazia.

During the meeting were also discussed other projects implemented by the ACF in Abkhazia.
