The working visit of Daur Kove to the Republic of Artsakh

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia headed by Daur
Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs is on a working visit to the Republic of
Artsakh. The delegation also includes Adgur Chegiya, the Head of the Department
of Strategic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia met with
Masis Mailyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh Republic within the
framework of the working visit.

The commitment to the basic principles of the Memorandum of Understanding on
international cooperation signed last year between the foreign ministries of the two
countries has reaffirmed during the meeting.

The meeting participants also stressed that the Memorandum is the most important
base for building up the interaction and further deepening of the prospects for
bilateral cooperation.

Daur Kove and Masis Mailyan supported the idea of establishing an institute of
honorary consuls in the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Artsakh, which
in their opinion, will give a positive dynamic to the interaction between the states.
Other aspects of bilateral cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.

Daur Kove handed to Masis Mailyan a note of condolence from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in connection with the anniversary of
the memory of the victims of the genocide, at the end of the meeting.
