Festive events dedicated to the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War were held in Berlin. They began on May 7 with a grand concert of the Turkish Choir and were continued today. Several thousand people took part in the official ceremony of laying flowers to the Soviet memorial in Treptow Park on the Victory Day.

Then in the center of Berlin, near the Tiergarten memorial near the Reichstag were also laid wreaths from diplomatic representations of the republics of the Soviet Union and other states.

A multi-thousand action "Immortal Regiment", bikers from the Russian club "Night Wolves" and their like-minded European countries, residents of Berlin and other German cities, as well as specially arrived guests came to the memorial as a separate column.

The plenipotentiary representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia in Germany, Khibla Amichba, who with a group of compatriots laid flowers on behalf of the Republic of Abkhazia at the memorial to Soviet Soldiers, took part in the celebration of the Victory Day in Berlin. She also took part in a solemn reception at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Berlin at the invitation of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Mr. V. Grinin.
