On June 27, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey Ibrahim Avidzba, as well as the Chairman of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey Murat Makharia paid tribute to the memory of the founder, first President of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
