The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, held an online meeting with members of the Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia visiting Moscow, as well as with employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation.

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania, a phased reform of the work of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation will be carried out.

The Minister emphasized that the Embassy should become an effective institution for promoting the national interests of the Republic of Abkhazia.

“The Embassy must promptly and efficiently respond to the appeals of our fellow citizens in the field of education, medicine, culture and on the widest range of issues. The Embassy should have an atmosphere of progress and be result oriented,” he said.

In addition, the Minister stressed that the Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation, Alkhas Kvitsinia, should receive weekly reports on the activities of the Embassy, ​​and monthly reports should be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The President of the Republic of Abkhazia must receive quarterly reports on the activities of the Embassy as a whole, as well as each officer separately.

It was noted that the President of the Republic of Abkhazia is going to regularly visit the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation.

Today, the Attestation Commission of the MFA also begins its work, aimed at assessing the effectiveness of the work of the Embassy staff. During the meeting, the introduction of a system for regulating the interaction of each employee of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation with the Embassies of foreign states by the end of this year was also discussed.

During the meeting, a discussion was held on the issue of introducing a contract system for the staff of all Embassies of the Republic of Abkhazia abroad.
