Today marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia. This historic document, signed on September 19, 2005, in Tskhinval, enshrined the historical traditions of brotherhood, mutual assistance, and partnership between our peoples and states.

On September 18, an online meeting was held between Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Abkhazia Gulnara Kichba and Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vladimir Ladunkin.

I cannot leave without comment the speech by Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Lasha Darsalia on behalf of Georgia at the 69th IAEA General Conference. I strongly reject the use of the terms "occupation" and "separatist regions" in relation to Abkhazia. The Republic of Abkhazia views itself as a sovereign state, whose independence was achieved through the free expression of the will of its people following the 1992–1993 war. It was recognized as a sovereign and independent state on August 26, 2008, by the Russian Federation and other Russian allies, who supported its decision and the Abkhazian people's expression of will in the referendum.

September 15, 2025 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Zaur Gvadzhava, at the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Daysi Torres Bosquez, took part in a ceremony dedicated to the 204th anniversary of Nicaragua's independence.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent congratulations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua on the occasion of Nicaragua's Independence Day.

On September 14, at the invitation of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Nicaragua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua Inar Ladariia and Minister-Counselor of the Embassy Alias ​​Aiba took part in the Special Session of the National Assembly of the Parliament of Nicaragua, convened in honor of the 169th anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto and held under the slogan "All for San Jacinto".

Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Syrian Arab Republic Gais Al Harki met with Syrian students who received a scholarship to take the annual Russian language training course at the Abkhazian State University in 2025-2026 for a period of 9 months.

On September 12, as part of a working visit to Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits met the Chairman of the Presidium of the Foundation for Assistance to the Protection of Rights and Legitimate Interests of Citizens Abroad "Russian World", Honorary Citizen of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Baburin.

On September 11, 2025, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia to Germany Khibla Amichba took part in the conference "From Passive to Active Deterrence - Russia's New Security Policy and Geopolitics" in Berlin, held by the Eurasian Society.
